How to access WeTheNorth Market
From a plain Windows laptop to a placed order on Canada's darknet market — the full walkthrough, roughly fifteen minutes of actual work.
Step 01 — Get Tor Browser
Visit torproject.org, download Tor Browser for your platform and install it. On first launch, press Connect. You now have a browser that hides your IP and can open .onion addresses. Android has an official Tor Browser too; iPhone users should use a computer.
Step 02 — Open the official link
In Tor Browser, load the market's onion address:
http://hn2paw7zaahbikbejiv6h22zwtijlam65y2c77xj2ypbilm2xs4bnbid.onionGive the first load up to thirty seconds. If you would rather browse casually first, the mirrors wtnmarket.net, wtnmarket.ru and wtnmarket.store open in any browser — registration and ordering are still best done on Tor.
Step 03 — Create the account
Choose a username that is not yours, and a passphrase used nowhere else in your life. The market does not want your email — good. Immediately afterwards, in settings:
- enable 2FA with an authenticator app
- add your PGP public key if you have one
- store the recovery mnemonic on paper, offline
Step 04 — Fund the wallet
Generate a deposit address (BTC or XMR — XMR for better privacy, BTC for easier buying on Canadian exchanges). Send a small test amount, wait for full confirmation, then top up to your shopping budget. Prices display in CAD. One market rule worth internalizing: do not create a second deposit transaction or a new address until the first confirms.
Step 05 — Choose a vendor and order
Sort your category by feedback. Read recent reviews, then older ones — you want consistency, not one good week. Check the vendor's thread on the forum if the order is substantial. Add to cart, check out, and let escrow hold the funds while a Canadian vendor ships to a Canadian address — domestic post, typically days.
Step 06 — Finalize, review, repeat
When the package arrives, confirm quality and finalize the order — that releases escrow to the vendor. Leave honest feedback; it is the data everyone else shops by. Keep your market balance lean and withdraw leftovers rather than storing value in any market wallet, WTN included.
Troubleshooting the first week
- Onion page times out → Tor menu → "New Tor circuit for this site". Still nothing? Try a mirror; if mirrors are fine, it is the circuit, not the market.
- Login rejected on a page that looks right → stop, verify the address against our official list — passphrase-harvesting clones are a real thing.
- Deposit pending forever → network congestion; check a block explorer with your txid. Patience, not panic.
- Vendor unresponsive → message inside the market; disputes are your leverage while escrow holds.
